Tom Sturman died on september 7th 2006 aged 19 after being hit by a speeding driver.
He was a supervisor at Optics nightclub in Norwich
We are all devastated.

He was on his motorbike when a driver doing double the speed limit ploughed into him, the car then went on to push a parked car (with the handbrake on) 20 meters along the road, and Toms bike ended up 90 yards further down the road and burst into flames.
The driver had no insurance. The jury found him guilty of careless driving!! No reference to the fact he killed Tom... We as a family are devastated. Our lives will never be the same, I (toms mum) have lost the will to carry on , but have to for the sake of my other son, Robert, who has not only lost his only brother, but his best friend too.
Tom was extremely popular and outgoing...he had a long term girlfriend and everything to live for. He loved life. He was kind and thoughtful, a wonderful son. We had lots of laughs and deep discussions about all sorts of things. He had a close relationship with his brother and they shared a deep bond..always helping each other out and being there for one another.

Tom's at peace

Some people get tested for longer than others.

Some have more tasks to perform

You clearly passed your tests early

and now you are at peace.

with all the others

who had nothing left to prove.

"Remember Me"
(song by Deanna Edwards)
Remember me whenever you see a sunrise,
Remember me whenever you see a star,
Remember me whenever you see a rainbow
Or woods in autumn colors from afar.

Remember me whenever you see the roses
Or seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue.
Remember me whenever you see waves
Shining in the sun.
And remember, I'll be remembering you!

Remember me whenever you see a teardrop,
Or meadows still wet with the morning dew.
Remember me whenever you feel love
Growing in your heart.
And remember, I'll be remembering you!

Love to All The People Who Knew Tom

Hi Tom....many many years ago when we were like 6 we knew each other and we played guess who!! (this was due to ur mum and my mum being high school buddies)....so long ago now! Although I never got to know you I leave this note to all that did know you better than me to let them know that my thoughts are with them today and I am sorry that you were taken from them in such a tragic way. You will live forever within them with all the wonderful memories they have of you.

Missing you...

Hi Tom,

I remember when I found out the terrible news - I just sat there in shock, I couldn't even cry. I know we were not like, amazingly close but I always remember when you used to come to my house after we'd been out somewhere and we'd all sit around chatting about everything and nothing. I'm so sorry I couldn't stay longer after we said goodbye to you - those few days were really bad for me as I also lost my grandfather. But you both had an amazing outlook on life - one so young and the other at the end of his life. I'm so mad that justice has not been served. I think about you an awful lot, just reminiscing over times gone by, and when people ask me if I've ever lost someone close to me I always mention you, even though we were not best friends or anything.

I always remember you sitting next to me on the path outside your house and asking if I was okay. You really cared.

I hope you are having fun up there, where ever there is! Miss you, Rebecca x

Hi Tom, just thought i'd write a tribute to you to let you know that you are still and always will be in our thoughts. You were so special to so many people and will always remain in our hearts. Its still so hard to believe that you're not here. Seeing so many people at your funeral told us how many people's lives you touched. Your Mum, Dad, Rob, all your Auntie's and Uncle's and us cousins and your friends, miss you so much, and family get together's will never be the same. But i know that you are a shining star looking down on your loved ones and you will always have a place in our hearts. xxxxxx
